چکیده

A porous metal-organic framework with high surface area was designedly synthesized, in which polyhedral cages and one-dimensional channels coexist. It shows a total gravimetric H2 uptake of 11.35 wt% at 77 K and 90 bar and a total CH4 uptake of 305.07 cm(3) g(-1) at 298 K and 35 bar.

Synthesis and CO2/CH4 separation performance of Bio-MOF-1 membranes.

Herein we present the preparation of continuous and reproducible Bio-MOF-1 membranes supported on porous stainless steel tubes. These membranes displayed high CO(2) permeances for equimolar mixtures of CO(2) and CH(4). The observed CO(2)/CH(4) selectivities above one indicate that the separation is promoted by competitive adsorption.

Metal-organic frameworks with exceptionally high methane uptake: where and how is methane stored?

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a novel family of physisorptive materials that have exhibited great promise for methane storage. So far, a detailed understanding of their methane adsorption mechanism is still scarce. Herein, we report a comprehensive mechanistic study of methane storage in three milestone MOF compounds (HKUST-1, PCN-11, and PCN-14) the CH(4) storage capacities of which are ...

Investigation of hydrogen sulfide adsorption in metallic scaffold MOF-5 nanocomposite based on activated carbon for the use of respiratory mask cartridge

Introduction: Hydrogen sulfide is one of the most important impurities in natural gas. Due to the fact that this gas is hazardous, toxic, corrosive and volatile, therefore, the removal of hydrogen sulfide has been studied using several methods. One of the most known procedures is the adsorption process. In the present study, activated carbon and activated carbon-based composite scaffolds (MOF-5...

A highly porous interpenetrated metal-organic framework from the use of a novel nanosized organic linker.

The initial use of a novel elongated tricarboxylic acid H(3)hmpib in metal-organic framework (MOF) chemistry resulted in a [Zn(4)O(hmpib)(2)] MOF (UCY-1) with pyrite topology. The compound displays a remarkably high internal surface area despite its double-interpenetrated structure as well as high CO(2) uptake and selective adsorption for it over CH(4).

Porous metal-organic frameworks based on an anthracene derivative: syntheses, structure analysis, and hydrogen sorption studies.

Solvothermal assembly of 5,5'-(9,10-anthracenediyl)di-isophthalate (H(4)adip) with in situ-generated dicopper and diiron paddlewheel secondary building units (SBUs) afforded two porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), designated as PCN-14 and PCN-15, respectively. The two MOFs crystallize in different structures, characterized by a difference in the dihedral angles between the anthracene and th...
